Guidelines for Hyperstudio
  • Draw Bohr models for Atoms #1-10, 11-18 are extra.
  • Demonstrate understanding of the arrangement of atoms on the periodic table in terms of atomic number.
  • Determine whether an atom will gain, lose, or share electrons to complete their outer shell.
  • Extra - Keep track of the 4 lab activities in your Hyperstudio notebook.

Here are some solubility curves to use with our lab.

3/12/08
Today we ran a lab to Identify and Unknown Solid using solubility. Solubility is a characteristic property of matter. It is a property that is the same for a substance no matter how much of that substance you are testing. Characteristic properties help us to identify a substance. Be sure to read about solubility curves in your book to help you understand our lab this week.
